Bleh.

It was a very busy couple of weeks. So, to catch up, I know I've noticed lots of learning moments but I don't remember them. Alex is awesome. I am enjoying the hizzity heck out of having him home. :D

I finally let him quit drawing. I hoped that he would relax into it, or it would grow on him, but he gave it a good shot and just didn't like it. He would like to do gymnastics forever, though, I think, so that's going very well.

The fracking state didn't send the paperwork and I have about a million bits of paperwork to deal with. They need to send it!

I'm glad Alex has found something he seems so passionate about! Do you know about Parkour? That's something that might interest him. Its non-competitive nature may appeal to you both, as well as the fact that it's fun and challenging and a way to make new friends. http://www.le-parkour.com/ http://www.neparkour.com/neparkour/faq.html and http://washingtonparkour.com/?go=faq_parents are great for people who are concerned that it's unsafe (it's as unsafe as you make it, just like everything else, including preparing food or crossing the street or riding a bicycle). Bits of them refer specifically to the local groups who wrote it, but there's also a lot of more general information.

http://www.factorybrigade.proboards49.com/ and http://www.arizonaparkour.com/ are places you can talk to people near you about it and get a better understanding, and maybe arrange to meet up with folks and watch them.
